back from washington two days ago. noteworthy experiences:
1) i started out with only a bit of money and was birthday gifted (don't panic - my birthday isn't for two weeks still) with several hundred dollars by both my dad and my grandparents and instructed to take myself shopping. and so i did. spoils include a kate spade purse, a napoleon dynamite bobble head, simpsons season six dvds, so, so many clothes, and a new purfume (sarah jessica parker's lovely - it smells fucking fantastic).
2) saw four brothers. <3 mark wahlberg.
3) ate at olive garden. yum.
4) went to a mariner's game. at batting practice my dad caught a fly ball (as we were seated second row back next to the right field foul post), dropped it, then dove for it and some man grabbed the ball from beneath his stomach... and of course my dad stood up, pointed his righteous finger, and told the man he was a dickwad. well, yelled it, really. so the guilty party relinquished the ball and dad and i giggled about his hissy fit for the rest of the game.
5) ordered school books and parking permit courtesy of dad. hell yeah.
6) had an altercation with a man on the plane coming home... i got on and he was in my (window) seat, i asked if he was also 12A, he said no, 12C. he introduces himself. i told him that the window was A, aisle is C. He apologizes, gets up, studies the diagram above the row. Points. "no, see, it says C is the window." i point. "no, that thing there? the square thing? that's the window. A is window. C is aisle. I am in A, you are in C. Thus, I am window, you are aisle." and i sat, and he sat. it occurred to me that this man is less than a frequent flyer as at some point during the flight he actually TURNED ON HIS CELL PHONE. fucking idiot.
and those were the highlights of my trip. it was actually pretty good, more relaxing and low-key than usual, was nice. have been really missing dad, Washington, etc. since i've been back.
the first day there i got a cold, and i'm still not over it. am convinced i have an ear infection but at this point even if i could afford to go to the doctor (yes, several hundred dollars were given to me five days ago and there are but two dollars left.), it's saturday now and my doctor is in on tuesdays and fridays. so i'm shit out of luck til at least tuesday.
i went to see 'the skeleton key' last night with jessaca, cody, and kayla... it was... not as bad as i expected it would be but i'm still glad that i didn't pay nine bucks to see it. through going, however, i learned that steve martin's shopgirl is being made into a movie starring claire danes and jason schwartzman. i am excited. that book was fucking good.
em......... i think that was all i had to say......... it's nine thirty in the morning now and i am less than awake so i may come back with more news at some point in the day.

GO TO A GOD DAMNED DOCTOR. I'm really really concerned about this. Not the cold-stuff, you've always been prone to those, but the other thing that's bothering you could be something really serious.
Okay buy.
luv,
